Anyone else find it ironic that they use a Toyota as a base. I thought toyotas were already self driving. Self-accelerating at the very least.

I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

As an individual who used to work for Google, I can both admire the fact that this technology was brought about as a love affair with several employees, and making weird crap that no one else wanted to waste financial resources on that the company has no issues spending money on, and yet at the same time, tell you with the greatest resolve that there is no way on this Green Earth, that I would ever trust my life with something a Googler dreamed up and put together in their spare time, that then turned into a under-funded project, that then got media attention, and had its budget ramped up, and taken out of the hands of the intelligent people that first started it, and ultimately, put into the hands of people who just want bigger bonus', and are major suck ups.
