Hello,

I was looking at riding from Kyiv to the Brno MOTO GP race on 14 Aug and I want to know if anybody has recommendations of where to stay, where to watch the race, and what to do in the local area for a long weekend?  I am in the early planning stages so any information would be helpful.

Cheers,

Must not be too many people have been to BRNO.  You can try to post up in the racing section and see if you get any better reply.

I've been to a round of the GP at Brno but it was in 1995 so I can't exactly help with  up to date info, however I can say it was an unforgettable weekend. The track is great, I walked all around it on the Saturday, to pick the best spot to watch the race from on Sunday. (Luca Cadalora Yamaha beat Mick Doohan Honda.) I decided stand C was the best spot, and looks like this guy agrees .  .  .  http://brnonow.com/2009/07/the-best-place-to-stand-at-automotodrom-brno-a-k-a-masaryk-circuit/

The whole city "turns it on" for the GP.

What to do in Brno ?  Any Bar in the the main square drink great beer watch world go by.
cheers     oh man, you r gunna have such a great weekend !

mitt:  Thanks for the suggestion.
rendang:  It sounds like a great time and thanks for the link.  I have been able to find a few package deals, but I have the whole, "find beer have a good time" down so I am not sure if they are worth the money.  I went to Laguna Seca last year and while I am in Europe I want to see as many races as possible.  I tough life, I know.

Cheers,
