"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I am glad there were not a lot of cameras when I was in school...

Jeez. It's terrible for both kids. The bully for being such a prick at that age, and the gentle giant for having to go that far. It's possible he'll feel guilt soon enough, even if he did the right thing by taking a stand. Unlike this vide where some skinhead make the beast with two backss around with an ex marine or something:

I stand with Casey Heynes.   [thumbsup]

Agreed, we don't want kids to go all vigilante and shit, but you have to stand up for what's right.  The big kid didn't immediately snap, he took some abuse first.  Good on him for sticking up for himself.  Bad on the school for punishing him for doing it.  I would like to slap around one of the school administrators, and see how long they take it before they retaliate.
Ahh... but the servant waits, while the master baits.

In truth, I really think that this serves as a proper example for the reason why children fare so dysfunctional today. When I was a child and in school, there was an enormous wooden paddle that hung in the Principal's office that was feared by everyone. The principal himself was a 6 foot something Mr. Clean (though nice as could be), all the students in the school behaved themselves.

Today, children become internet heroes for deplorable reasons. Not only do videos like these send the wrong message to other children, it also gives the wrong supportive guidance to the child who defended himself.  Both boys were wrong - granted the one was defending himself, but his actions were far from deserving praise.

This sort of behavior is only exacerbated and reinforced as a "good thing" by both children and adults alike circulating these vids and helping give these children unwarranted attention.

I also remember watching quite a few fights in HS.  ;) I didn't see the video...but this doesn't sound like anything new.

It's pretty brutal.

The link below should be good to go.  That one won't get taken down.

Just watched it...

...that kid got what he deserved. He's lucky the big kid didn't continue the smack down. Also nothing worse than what I saw in HS.

From what I've heard, the parents of the little prick that got slammed are going to file a civil suit against Casey, aka George "The Animal" Steele.

I like a drink. You know when people say 'I like a drink as much as the next man'? Not if I'm the next man, you don't.

Someone should save a copy of the vid to show the judge.
