hi guys, anyone knows whether the titanium termi slip on for monster 796 has any removeable db baffle or anything like that?or how do i make it louder?

JerryD

The Ti Termi kit for my 696 had the db killers.  I assume the same for the 796.

oh cool, thanks alot :) i already ordered the pipes but have not arrived yet, without the db killer , does it sounds like thunder?

JerryD

To quote the great Jeremy Clarkson

"It sounds like the god of thunder, gargling with nails"

I wear earplugs all the time when I ride.  It's actually painful without plugs...

Yes, the old RACING scrip has been replaced with DP (Ducati Performance) on the ABS equipped bikes.

Ti termis sound so nice :D

Ducati Monster 696 with Titanium Termignoni Exhaust

yeah, got mine but with the baffles on, it sounds slighter more quieter than stock muffler.
after i cut the baffles, it became slightly more bassy and bike feels more smooth when moving off.no more choking feel.

if you make a small modifiction to the baffles meaning you drill a hole in the completely closed end about 1/2 inch in diameter i think that gives you a a bit louder than stock sound  with the classic termi sound, and at idle its only slightly louder than stock with the great sound but without it being obnoxiously loud that the termi does give you at full bore or 5-6k rpm when you have them completely removed.

Hi derosis, how are those Ti Termis working out for you? I'm planning to get a pair. Would love to see a photo of them mounted on your 796. Are you getting a sound you like with the baffles inserted?

Cheers

hello MarkHK,

Ti Termis.... with baffles on = quieter than stock exhaust. tat defeat the purpose.
Ti Termis + Termi ECU + Air Filter=smooth.  but if u take out the baffles and chop off the end, performance is much better.no more choking when moving at low rpm.
but without the baffles, itz sounds thunderous and tends to pops.

Ok, thanks Derosis. I went against my original preference and am getting the carbons instead. They're in stock here in Hong Kong (Titaniums are not), cheaper (so get the wife's [thumbsup]) and arguably go better with the stealth look of the black M796. Will start off with the DB killers inserted but will probably chop them up like you suggest to get the pipes breathing and sounding right.

My bike will be ready for collection this Saturday - very excited!
