I just realized you are on DCSB with the same name.  I'm thinking about it.  That is pretty close to my place.

I'll admit that I'm not terribly familiar with that area, but the local seems an odd venue for a motorcycle unveiling. Who's putting this on? The bar(?) doesn't mention it on their web site.
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

That is a kinda strange venue and 6pm, on a weekday, in DC?  Isn't the city mostly lawyers?  I'd love to go, but I can't sneak out that early.

I know the neighborhood generally ( Dolci works a half a block from there) and I can honestly say...at 6pm...I wouldn't want to be in the mix of rush hour "exodus from the city" traffic for to be at this event!!!

Coleman is doing it at the bar because 95% of their floorspace is devoted to other brands.  They don't want to piss off Yamaha/Honda/etc

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

it's a block from the Farragut West metro stop if that helps anyone.

Well the city isn't mostly lawyers, but that area has the high concentration - I'm guessing that's the target market for this bike :)

6PM is happy hour so that'll get the most people in to see it.

I was half-joking, but this spot of K-street is heavily dominated by big law firms and almost all young(ish) associates will be working a heck of a lot later than 6pm.  Maybe they are hoping to draw folks out for a few min on a break from work or something.  On the few occasions I've been to near-by bars for happy hours they've been a lot more crowded at 11-12 than 6ish. Now get near a federal building and happy hour starts at 5pm  [roll]

It is dominated by law firms, this is true.  My fiance is a lawyer and works right at 19th and K.

dolci

Not a lawyer but I work with a dozen or more of them - we're at 18th and K as well.  I've already got happy hour plans involving tequila, so despite the proximity, I'll be skipping this one.
Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I'll be there at 8:30, after work, probably drinking a Peroni by myself.  I'll knock the bike over and yell "They call me ZOOOOM!"  Probably start fight with any members of my old firm if any are there.
