696/796 Monsters - fast idle RPM?

While warmed up, my 696 idles at 1300 RPM. When I fully open the fast idle lever, the engine roars at well above 3000 RPM.

The workshop manual states to adjust the fast idle lever so that it idles at 2000 RPM. Can a few other 696/796 owners post what their fast idle speeds are with the choke/fast idle lever fully open?

I have to modulate it when the bike is warming up. I open it all the way at first and it gets to 1600 or so, then it will jump to like 2500+ if I don't catch it as itstarts to warm. I keep lowering it as it warms up to keep it from over revving.

Fully closed ~ 1200RPM
Half open ~ 1700RPM
Fully open ~ 4000RPM

My idle range is the same as nakatalee and that's in 80 degree weather.
