I'm giving you guys first crack at this.

Is a black Waterloo brand tool chest. 22" wide x 36" tall x 12" deep. 5 Drawers of varied depth, flip top area and a 12" tall compartment at the bottom. It's got a set of caster wheels that I never installed, but they are there if you want to set it on a floor.

It's far from fancy - but hey, it's free. The only catch is you have to come fetch it. If you're generous you can bring me beer too :) Should fit in just about any car that's not a sporty 2 seater.

For those who don't know, I'm down in Shirlington.

No, I could get one later though. But a photo won't say much. Its a black rectangle with some drawers.

is there anything you're curious about?

That's cool.  I was just visualizing those measurements for myself and 36 inches is way too tall for me to comfortably fit in my condo anyway :(.  The lady of the house would have a fit if I brought a toolbox that big home.  I would love to have a tool box that size though.  My current setup is a cheap plastic toolbox with no drawers and a bookbag lol; it doesn't make finding things easy.

You're welcome to it - just remember Shirlington is down in teh VA. If you're serious, hit me with a PM and we'll work it out.

Done and done. It'll be off to a new home on Saturday.

I have one of those canvas things that i tote back and forth between the condo and garage. I just pour it out on the concrete every time I go to do something. [thumbsup]

I have six Craftsman boxes in the garage alone, another three in the workshop. They are all filled to the brim and weigh close to 100 lbs apiece. I finally have room to put in a box that size, it's going to fit perfectly on my garage bench.

May the beer flow and the wrenches find a new home.

That swivel stuff seems interesting, but I'd think you'd loose a lot of square inches of storage.

Sounds like my setup.  I recently got one of those magnetic bowls.  That thing is a lifesaver because my work area is on a decline.  If I set something down sometimes it's bye bye screw.

Oh man... you just got one? Much to learn young padawan.

If you, like me, don't have a garage and need to schlep tools getting things to organize helps a lot. There's all sorts of socket and wrench organizers which make life a lot easier. Besides making it easy to just grab all your wrenches at once, you'll know if one's gone missing and it saves time. It sucks to rifle through a box of bag for what you need all the time.

And get as big a magnetic bowl or dish as you can. I've got 4"x8"

the 1st swivel link, not so much, hence why I am interested in that...

for a cart...different purpose of usage...but I have had this at the back of my mind as a next major tool purchase... http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=storage&item_ID=87617&group_ID=23706&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

I have seen several good deals on smaller rolling carts and small rolling boxes like the Corwall you posted in the Snap-On truck when he takes em in on trade-in....

Huh what?

a technician in a shop decides he needs a bigger box and his basic (fill in the blank made for home usage) box is no longer fitting the bill...like a used car, the tool truck guys offer them X # of $$$ for their old box or cart in trade toward a new tool box or cart or whatever and the old box gets put on the truck and usually they'll resell those boxes for whatever they can get for them to other guys wherever....
