Yeah, I made it myself. I basically drew it up on Autocad and then took the stock foot print and machined an oval in the new foot. Then welded it in place. It gave me an extra 3/4" of hieght. Which is good. I did have to play with the angle though in order to get the foot to sit flat. Then had it powder coated. I actually may try and make a couple in production mode. I will keep every one informed.

That particular DucFoot kickstand was made @6yrs ago.  Manually machined in my shop on the mill, cleaned up with the 4.5in grinder and then handfiled (by myself and Bill/TurboMonster).  Lots of work to make without question.

Over the years, I made @6 more of them -- as well as some DragonTails and RatFinks (60's Big Daddy Roth figurine) as well.  The biggest problem (besides time/labor) to build is getting that very large "base" footprint even on the ground.  Given each Ducati's suspension height (front/rear) is different -- and tire size -- each has to be individually fitted to maximize the benefit of the larger base footprint on the ground itself.

We used to send out an adjustable height jig that someone could install on their Ducati to get all the angles right -- and then send back to us to build the modified kickstand with large base.  Unfortunately after two jigs were non-returned (they weren't easy to make) -- I ceased building more and modifying kickstands.

Bill / TurboMonster later made a run of large DucFoot bases that were cnc'd -- they look different then the handmade (artistic) ones.  He sold but very few were made as the buyers then had to locate a local welder and walk him through how to install and weld (and not fry an ECU due to grounding or High Frequency TIG issues)

There is definitely a marketplace for someone if they wanted to build more!  Just remember that the fitment issue for a remote customer is the largest challenge to address in making.  Last thing you want to do is modify a customer kickstand and then ship back/forth numerous times "guessing" how to get the footprint flat on the ground.

Also be careful in the size / orientation of the footprint itself -- when in the "UP" position, it can hit the rearsets, exhaust or even the swingarm itself depending upon orientation.

solution, I keep one in my jacket pocket for gravel and whatnot

+1 - under $1.50 ea in the electrical section at Home Depot or Lowes.

If you want to get fancy you can lay down some spray paint with a protective sealer or look up your local painter for something that looks better than a rattle-can.

My kid wound up with a bagfull from the local minor league team. They fit nicely in a jacket pocket.

///one of my HD buddies commented that it would make a great "BACK OFF" projectile if released into the windshield/front bumper of an aggressive tailgater... I hope to never find out, but I can see his point.

I use the same.  Also helps stand the bike up some since I've raised the rear end.
