monster wheels on an ss?

obvously the 6 bolt fronts swap over but what can be done to a monster rear with the 25mm axle to be able to work on an ss?  are the wheels them selves the same width?  can you shim them to the smaller axle by simply making a sleeve?  I'm trying to justify buying a new rear marvic for my monster race bike when chances are i'm going to build a 800/900ss to race next year.  If I can get it on the ss next year that helps justify it
