Flywheel torque?

The workshop manual says that for my S2R Flywheel generator nut 24mm x 1, that the torque value should be 270nm +/- 10%. I dont even know if they make a wrench that goes that far. Ive found on the board here that it is 157nm. Need help as to what to set it to. Also the clutch side.

I remember correctly it's like 210 ftlbs which is 4 foot breaker bar territory

The 157 is for the older motors.

200ft lbs should do it.

I'd rather use another gear if available.

It's possible to do some damage with the old penny trick.

That said...I'd probably use an impact and red loctite and call it good. YMMV

I'd go with flywheel tool, I've tried it with the penny and it ate like it was nothing.

So what do people use when they machine their flywheel down to nothing?

ducpainter- you said to use red locktite and an impact, that would make sense, as I did use and impact to get the nut off, and I've heard that it takes more effort to break loose a nut than to tighten.
