Are the 5-spoke Marchesinis that came stock on the 998 forged or cast? I'm talking about the silver/gray wheels on the base bike, the ones that look similar to the cast wheels that came stock on the S*R bikes, but have a ridge down each spoke. If forged, what's the weight difference?

Yup...all the OEM 5 spoke were cast.  There were a set of OEM 5 spoke Magnesium and they didn't have the ridge.
