I'm trying to get a 12V Power Source into my tank bag.  I have seen the kits http://www.powerletproducts.com/products/ptb.php.  And decided to make my own.  My dealership put a tender cable on my batter when they prepped it, so I figured I would just buy another tender cable, and then buy a cigar outlet from radioshack.  Soldered it all together and plugged in the apparatus, no problems,  check the voltage with my multimeter and everything seemed fine.  But then I plugged in my phone charger, with its own fuse (and btw, there are two 70 Amp fuses inline that came with the tender cables). The fuse in the new tender cable (the one soldered to the cigar outlet) blew.  WTF!?  Anybody have any experience with this?

70 amp or 7?  Anyway go over your work, you probably have a short to ground.
