Could it be that the VMax is geared for top end?

Diavel 162 HP claimed, about 135 at the rear wheel = about 17% less then crank HP

Vmax 197 HP claimed, about 174 at the rear wheel = about 11.5% less then crank HP

Good to know my spidey-engineer-sense is still hitting right.

I stand corrected!

Could it be that the VMax is geared for top end?

I would think so for to relieve some of the torque stress on the driveshaft...

Telling ya, from the launch it's pretty obvious that the bike isn't the reason why it only won by a tenth.

My 1098 R w. it's Race Exhaust , Race ECU and special Air cleaner is pumping out right about  180 RWHP, and 101 lb. ft . of Torque.

You want a mind bending experience , 20 mph to 100 mph in 3 seconds.

If you've never been there don't even try to imagine what that's like ...magic comes to mind.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
