It wasn't unions or unreliability that tanked the big 3 - it was the red wings playing on the west coast every spring for two months that killed productivity.  ;D

Here's to another round of late night hockey and difficult alarm clocks for Wings fans. Another sweep seems too good to be true, but I'd sure LOVE it! Let's hope the midget commissioner gets shitty about the octopus toss again. It's bad luck to make the beast with two backs with the octopus tradition.

I'm crossing my fingers for the Bruins & Penguins tonight

Blasphemous as it is, I was rooting for Chicago.  Not just to see Vancouver lose but so that the Wings didn't have to go back out west...again.  They could end up playing west coast teams all the way through.  I'm just hoping they can sweep the Sharts too.  Too many late shifts and I'm gonna be all make the beast with two backsed up at work next week.

Shame on you.  [puke]  [bang]  ???

At least tonight was an early one compared to the last few. I may get a decent nights sleep...

Round 2 schedule for Red Wings Nation:

Game 1: Friday night at San Jose.
Game 2: Sunday at San Jose, 3 p.m. (presumably on NBC)
Game 3: Wednesday, May 4 at Detroit
Game 4: Friday, May 6 at Detroit

OK, that is AWESOME!  Late shift on a Friday, I can handle that.  The next 3 are all good too.  Yay!  The only problem is the Wings and their tendency to shit the bed in those noonish games.

It's almost like someone realized how crap a left coast playoff series was for Detroit fans and made it just about as easy as possible on us.
