Personally, nothing in that thread offended me (actually I found it quite funny), but that's not the point - it did violate the rules of the board. If you have a look back ducpainter has modified his response to explain the actions, and it seems I was right - it was all about the pics.

Seems that it offended someone, as it was only brought to the Nate (ducpainter)'s attention by someone hitting the report to moderator button...

last night my wife wanted me to come to bed from the shower...I said "turns off the lights....my body has been deemed 'offensive' by the ducati board"...."I'm hideous"....and then I began to sob.

ah, anyway, as long as we had a laugh, I've got no hard feelings....and seriously, I will gladly apologise to anyone that finds pictures of Marcus Scheckenberg offensive and also give them a warning, don't go to Bologna, Italy to see the Ducati factory - cause there are pictures and statues of naked men all throughout the country!

I certainly don't give a shit. My thoughts are, if you don't like it, don't click on it. Maybe adding a "NSFW" to a thread would help, but you still gotta keep it within the boundaries.

It's no big deal, ya just have to get your piccies of half naked people from other places, just not here.

I know that thread was not about pics of nakedness, but that's what it turned into, so it was locked.

I typically don't poke my nose in the local boards until someone complains about something.

None of the pics were offensive.

That isn't the point...they violate the rules.

We had a similar situation in the womens board where they had a beefcake thread. The offending pics were removed. If they have been from this thread, by removing them from flickr or wherever they're hosted, I'll be happy to unlock it.

In order to minimize the leg humping around here none of that type of pic is OK whether it be of males or females.

We are after all a moto board.
