So I picked up some new levers, and the pin you need to remove from the factory lever to use in the after market ones... well its not coming out.   The little set screw on the bottom wont turn, and im afraid I will either snap an allan key or strip it.

I looked it up in the parts catalog and it doesn't even list it.  It lists everything else but not it.
Pic so you know what I am talking about.

Any suggestions?

Ok this is what I need, anyone have any clue where to find just this without having to buy a whole lever assembly

Those pins are loc-tighted in there.  Maybe hit the OEM with some heat?

Umm yeah, whats shown in the picture and that other link you posted isnt the same as what im talking about.  Or maybe it is but just for a different lever for a different model bike.

The one on my S2R1000 is a "clearance" issue like in that link, its the fact that they used a set screw in the bottom of the cylinder locking the pin in place.

anyways... I ended up finding a New OEM lever on ebay that is coming with one for 50 bucks  [bang]... looks like the bike is down till this 1dollar part shows up since I marred up the original pretty good with pliers.  :'( :'(

If I am not mistaken by what your issue is , I had exactly the same problem.
After snapping  my clutch lever and kindly being given a replacement one from

There was a blob of what looked like resin on the end of mine, after removing that
I still couldn't make it budge.
Underneath there is a reall small alan head bolt locking the pin, it would not moove due to
thread locker.
Heated  it and crack out it came , removed swapped levers replaced with Loctite
happy ending [thumbsup]

I just did this yesterday...

Picked the glue out, loosened the 1.5mm set screw, use a heatgun to break the locktight.  It was still quite difficult to get out and it doesnt help that the screw head is really soft..you will probably damage it some.  It takes patience but it will eventually come out.
