As long as it's a 2008 or newer Monster only...      [roll]

It's like I keep saying:  Those who would sacrifice a free range session for a giant beer, deserve neither free range time nor a giant beer.

i have had guys reach back and grab my crotch in an attempt to get around me. i'll either blow in their ear or ask them politely to let go of my wang.

It came through back channels.

The first 2 items under the "Eligibility" pretty much knocked me out of the running.

2008 and newer  :'(

That's a shame as the newer bikes seem to have a lot fewer mods done to them than the older ones, but on the flip side DNA is a business and they do need to promote the newer bike.
I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...

The Amateur v. Professional distinction is interesting, but needs better explanation I think.

There's a group of those unemployed by the industry, and those who are, however it doesn't say when/how they are in the industry.

no dealer registered bikes, but employees bikes are cool?  ex employees fall under which category?

Raux

I suspect amateur is a non-shop owner/worker or a DYI guy in a home garage

I think we all get the intent of the rules but somebody will find a way to stretch the rules. At least this time they do attempt to make a separate category for the true owners. I wish it was a little later, looking forward to see what I can do with an 1100 Evo but I'm not going to rush it. - Gene

"2008 and newer"...that's too bad...so I guess that those of us of the older generation Monster have finally been put to pasture...

:'(

... I suppose it was only a matter of time until we had to make way for the younger beasties and were no longer welcome in the those circles...

muskrat

well then we should boycott this thing since we are lowely "previous" generation owners.   [coffee]
Can we thin the gene pool?

The intent is easy to see, but it's unclear at this point.  I just think it would be more proper to elucidate the idea fully, as a means of limiting possible problems

Actually I don't think they newer guys cannot match some of the stuff we did and when they have 40-50K miles on theirs, on back twisty roads not super clean superslab, we'll just have to have a little competition. - Gene
