I have ridden 2 times this April , it has been Raining , Storming , Tornadoes , like the end of the world.

Every 2 days we have Sever Storms.

Had 5 inches of rain 2 weeks ago . 5 inches last week, suppose to have 5 this week and next  w. a long range forecast of the same shit.

I know it's not just here in Ohio .

I think it's going to hurt the Moto shops badly since Riders can't ride, Buyers won't buy, and Service work may not be happening because the Riders will be canceling their times and rescheduling , but then in a week or two if they had work scheduled two weeks ago they will be rescheduling since they can't rice in torrential downpours.

This must be what it's like living where they have Monsoons !

I know by watching the Weather Channel that there are a lot of States getting hammered over and over like Ohio.

How a is it where you are ?

yup up here in NY metro the winter wants to hang on...

tenaciously clinging and lingering heavily in the air

like a rancid hangover fart

It was momentarily warm enough on Friday that I was able to get the Monster inspected

it was due back in March...but no reason to hurry

Tulips are up but it's 32 and snowing.  1" on the ground and still coming.   WTF!   Heating oil at $4 a gallon, this is the never ending depressing winter.   (I'm on the phone so I can't insert a Bill Murray Ground Hog Day video, so use your imagination.)

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Weird here too, won't seem to get above 75 and there have been several clouds reported............. [moto]

where did you get that photo of my back yard?

Like my yard, the dust bowl was a product of creatures more so than the weather

in the case of my yard it was the dogs

no argument there....weather systems don't yield to our whim

was reading a while back about the Renaissance ...seems it emerged during a long period of warm weather systems across Europe for a few decades

England had longer better growing seasons resulting in increased prosperity

and actually had viable vineyards

So people ate well, got drunk and became creative

guess it is like cave paintings of the hunt.....

folks with full bellies get all sorts of grandiose notions of personal expression

folks with empty bellies don't have time for the cave painting...too busy looking for food

suns are born, grow, expand beyond measure and then cataclysmically contract and go supernova

the universe expands daily

the earth itself moves and shakes, continents move around the globe

and yet...

our weather is supposed to be static, unchanging.
