I need to raise rear on the S4 ,,I cannot drop the yokes anymore or the radiator will get hit.

on my M759 its a 30 minute job but looks like a 3 hour job on the S4 as I cannot get any tools/ spanners onto the ride height adjusters without removing exhaust and rear shock ...any tips?Huh??

-I've been wanting to do this on my S4 for quite some time now, but I just resorted to putting low clip-ons on to make the riding position more aggressive... Adjusting the rear ride height just looks like a PITA....Maybe I'm wrong, but it does to me....

On my '01 S4, I tried using open ended wrenches and wasn't having much luck so just ended up going to the dealer and let them break it loose. They had to disconnect the shock at the bottom mount to get good leverage. Once they broke it though, I have no trouble adjusting it while it's on the side stand with everything still connected using the wrenches.

Yes, the access isn't very good.

Best way is to remove the pushrod and get both nuts loose, unscrew the rod ends, then reassemble with some grease or anti-sieze on the threads.
Measure the length before you do anything.

I think they assemble 'em dry at the factory, and get the nuts really tight.

The nuts with the groove in the hex are left hand thread, as is the end of the pushrod.

Yeah thanks guys ,I reckoned on releasing the rear shock to get a decent go at the nuts with wrenches .

thing is I was looking at 5 916 at the race track and they are much easier to get at the rod than the S4 where the nuts are hidden.
