Is this where I access the oil screen?

Is the circled bolt the oil screen on my 2005 M620? The rectangle is around my oil filler plug for reference. I appreciate everyone's patience with my mechanical deficiency.

No. Oil screen is behind the temperature connection. take a side shot of your bike (clutch side) and we will show you where. I think its the black wire that runs away from the black starter on the right of the photo.

Your arrowhead kinda points to it (i think) if I had a side shot I could be 100% sure

Ahhh... ok. So I just pull off that black wire and unbolt the screen?

The screen is under and requires a 14mm allen to remove.

The circled bolt and  it's companion are for the oil cooler lines. (when installed of course)

PS: I sure wish I could afford a Serotta road bike!  Their factory is about 10 min from me so that doesn't help the cravings much!  [drool]

i have had guys reach back and grab my crotch in an attempt to get around me. i'll either blow in their ear or ask them politely to let go of my wang.

Thanks for the info on those bolts.

You know... The crazy thing is my Serotta cost more than my Ducati. Seriously. Of course the Serotta was new and the Monster used but still.

Yeah but the Monster wasn't hand built specifically for you...

I do see your point tho

The Monster took me an hour to buy. The Serotta... 3 hours on the fit cycle, a few weeks wait, a box of Campy Record components, wheels, bars, etc., had to build it myself and it STILL cost $6k. As much as I like it I kinda feel stupid for spending that much on a bicycle but then again, I put about 5k miles per year on it and not one ache or pain from the geometry (except for out of shape sore muscles).

One more quick question... my bike is approaching 6k miles. I'm changing oil this weekend. Although I plan on doing the screen too, do I have to? What is the recommendation on this? How ofter are you supposed to clean the screen versus just change the oil and filter and leave the screen alone?

Thanks again.

I do mine once a year.

It only takes a minute and allows more oil to drain.

I do it every other oil change, so 6K.
