yes, I did... 

I've gone dirtbiking several times and just couldn't get the hang of kicking my leg way out there like that.  It just felt awkward, and I caught my heel in a rut and it jammed me up some.   Undecided

But, I come from a street background, not a dirt background.

Like someone mentioned earlier, it makes sense to have your leg out so if you lose traction or the bike goes down, you can just step off easier and avoid getting pinned.

I've just never been able to do it well.  I'll stick with my knee out for now..   Wink
