Dirty Duc

It doesn't take four guys to put a monster in a truck... try two... and by the way, that fuel light means business.

forget the mirrors, dude that's one serious chain!  But I wonder why you don't feed it through the frame instead of the wheel?  A wheel is easy to take off and 4 guys could lift it into a truck and away they go.  Sure they probably wouldn't go through the trouble but...

hahaha. Thanks!  $50 from home depot  [thumbsup]  Honestly the chain is just there as a theft deterrent not theft protection.  If someone really wanted to steal my bike, they will find a way, frame or wheel.  Plus, how do you fit that big ass chain through the frame? hahaha.  My neighbors know me and my bike pretty well.  So they would say something if they see someone that is not me taking the wheel off or cutting the chain.  I usually park my car up against the bike anyways.

The bar ends look better but according to your pics - the stockers have a wider view.

Of course that's not from a headshot perspective  as you ride.

i got these cheapies off ebay too. They worked for a while but if you ever bump them the wrong way in the garage they loosen up way too easy and flip upside down. Never had a problem riding with them though. And frankly I hate the way they have to go into the bar with that little nut and sleeve. Haven't done enough research to see if all bar ends are like that but there must be a better way.

Try using slightly shorter screws on the clamp piece.  Mine had screws that were about 1mm too long and I couldn't get them very tight. I put in some shorter screws and i could hang off them now.

I got my bar end mirror from REI for $14.99. An added plus is that it has rubber bushings at the end which take the vibration out of the bar.

Installation was about 1 min.

One thing to note, there's no curve to the lens - so what you see is what you get! I actually like it alot.  [thumbsup]

Being in that fixed location it makes me wonder if your wrists/arms block the mirror at all?

Obviously it works well enough for you to still be using them. I think I'm going to try them

I actually only have 1. I've been thinking about getting one for the other side but just haven't followed through. I've not noticed any problems with my wrists/arms being in the way, but then again, maybe I've just compensated. I'll pay attention to that when I leave for the ride home today.
