Before pics

During

After

Overall, it was a pretty easy install. Took me 2hrs. It was hot and I took my time and many "watering" brakes, haha. Like someone mentioned. It was challenging to line up the pipes and brackets to the tail while trying tighten down on the bolts. I used blue loctite on all the screws so nothing rattles loose.

I would give the quality of the product 10 out of 10. The CF tail mounts brackets are a nice touch. But I would give the fitment only 8/10. While the springs hold everything together, I'm still able to waggle the exhaust a little even with everything tightened down.

As for the sound. WOW! I opted not to install the silencers. Man is this thing loud. And I'm not talking about annoying loud. It's a nice civilized loud. Word can not describe the sound. I'm still thinking about it as I'm typing right now. This is how it should have sounded out of the factory. The stock exhaust was like a cub's meow. The Leo Vince is like a lion's roar. I might consider putting the silencers in because the sound just resonates inside my helmet. It's not bad when not wearing a helmet but with the helmet, I definitely should put on some ear plugs.

Still haven't decided if I want to put on the stickers. Not sure how the yellow and blue sticker will look w/ the red.

Also it's a lot smoother on 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear in the 3k-4k rpm range now. The surging is not as bad as before. It's still there but it's barely noticeable. I was originally thinking about dropping down to a 14T in the front. I might not need to do it anymore. Also, no loud popping on down shifts as some others have mentioned.

 IMO leave the stickers off.
And next............. think about rear sets ,
I am growing to like the new Monster look
getting rid of the OEM triangle rear set really opens up the bike and improves
the whole package.

Looks great! The Leo SBKs are my favorite standard exhaust for the Monsters.

IMO leave the stickers off.

Nice ! I put the same cans on. Now you need Rexxer ecu reflash, air filter & your bike will amaze you, from 3K rpm to 9.5K rpm super smooth &
you get a nice boost in power from 6K up to redline & some added torque down low.

Looks great, I have the same on my 796, left my baffles in, we have sound enforcement here. Still sounds good. You know, I like the tail end, I will leave mine "uncut."  Personally I don't the look of pipes sticking out past the tail, plus it is is a European bike, leave it uncircumcised, lol!

Try riding with ear plugs, sounds better!! Smiley [moto]

oh sound clip please!!

I actually like the tail.  It flows with the rest of the lines on the bike.  I'm glad I'm not the only one that likes it "uncircumcised", lol.

Which air filter did you go with?  Also, how much is the Rexxer ECU reflash?  Did you send them the original ECU or did you buy a used one and sent it off for a reflash?  What was the turn around time?  I dunno how long I can live w/o riding my duc  Cry

I'm in Tempe.  You?

I'm at 51/Camelback.  I see a red 696 on the 202 going into PHX as I'm riding to Mesa a couple times/wk.  Is that you?  I'm typically on my black 1100.

Probably not.  I take the 101 loop in the morning to get to north Phoenix and 51S/202E to get back to Tempe at night.  Let me know if you ever want to go for a ride.

Rexxer offers 2 ways too reflash, 1-you send them an ecu & it runs around $250 best way IMO is buy an ecu from ebay about 50 bucks & keep your stock ecu on the shelf in case you want to put bike back to stock. 2nd way which is what I did is buy the Rexxer user unit about $550.00 but the user unit allows you to reflash the ecu your self & you can have a few different maps. Looking back I would have been just as happy with the simple $250 reflash but I like to tinker. There are a few really good threads on this forum about the Rexxer & reflashing the 696/1100 ecu you should check em out, a lot of members already spent the time & money to get these ecu's reflashed & shared the results. Bottom line is that the simple $250 reflash will really make your bike run like it should. If you do go Rexxer make sure to get the map with the RPM limit raised to about 9.5K the extra rpms make a big difference.
