So Ducatiloo and I went trekking around on his bike yesterday and today to get a look at some of the damage.  It's amazing how many roads are closed but people try to cross them anyway.  But I'm getting side tracked.  I really wanted to share a photo.  I'll let Ducatiloo decide which others to share, but as the official photographer I think I get some say.

Here is Ducatiloo looking at a road untraveled

So here is my request from all the other members of COW: go out and ride, and if you have a chance snap a few pics of what the roads are like around you.

I saw a lot of brand new lakes yesterday but the water had generally receded from the road. There were plenty coatings of dried up mud however.

In that pic on Friday, I could see fish swimming across the road.

Went for a pretty long ride today, but I checked the DOT website for road closures before heading out.  Check here too if you are actually looking for roads that are flooded: http://www.dot.state.wi.us/travel/incident-alerts.htm

The DOT only has the main roads that are closed listed.  In our area the majority of the back roads are closed as well.  I just thought it would be interesting to see what the after effects of the storm were in different areas of the state.  I realize the water has receeded a bit now.
