Weather looks questionable, track is rough, and the guys look hungry! The kawasaki's swingarm almost fell off it was so bumpy. When they replayed some of the corners in slow motion I could not believe how hard the suspension was working. How any of these guys can remain confident at this track is amazing.
Bayliss and Checa look strong on the front row, hopefully they can keep the German behind them. The sprint and dive into turn one is gonna get hairy! I think we will see several people lose the front at this circuit. Unfortunately, Haga and Xaus are at the top of the risk meter. I don't think they will see the finish.
Lets get this thing started!

Ya, when he is really hot into a corner. This is Bayliss overtaking at Monza a few weeks ago.

A lot of them do it. In GP you see Rossi and Stoner do it all the time. They're re-positioning their foot for upshifting after a series of downshifts heading into the corner.

Jesus, here we go again. Yes, many racers move the shift foot off the peg after down shifting to get back on top of the gear lever in preparation for up shifts exiting the corner(GP pattern). However, when entering a left hander at an uncomfortable speed and braking heavily(most likely overtaking), riders with a background racing off road i.e. Bayliss, Stoner will "throw out the anchor" to shift the center of gravity to the inside. This keeps the rear tire to the outside, setting the bike up to turn in while allowing the maximum amount of upright/straight forward braking force on the front tire.
We only see it 2-3 times a race, if at all, and only when the rider is pushing very hard.
If you look at Bayliss above and watch the race, you cannot honestly say, he is simply repositioning his foot. It is a style only seen at the extreme limit in these classes, and is more exaggerated amongst the Aussies.

Could be part of it as well...I'm not arguing. You see Rossi and Stoner both do it a lot though...not just 2-3 times a race.

I thought race 1 was exciting, but race 2 was intense...

+1 Great circuit! Nice to see Corser so strong. Strange ending though.

Don't want to spoil anything, but it would have been nice to see that one all the way through!
