I didn't read everything but more power too him.  Maybe it will encourage him to lose some weight to be even faster.

I just had a Deja Vu flash.....didn't we go down this road a few years back on something else...?

Speaking of deja vu, this reminds me of a conversation I had with a 5'8", 250lb guy at a local autocross who delighted in telling me that not getting the HID headlight option on his Mini Cooper saved him 11 pounds. [laugh]
