Guys, you're thinking of this all wrong. If you mount a car tire you don't have to use your kickstand anymore, the damn thing will just stand up on its own. Take the kickstand off, BOOM instant weight savings.

EDIT: Ok, I just checked out their "Website"

In 2011 I trust no company that uses red text on a cyan background, uses no text formatting and solely Times New Roman. Seriously, the thing was probably ported over from Geocities and should have an animated gif that says Under Construction. Maybe some Myspace sparkly text? I designed something better than that when I was still using friggin Prodigy (that takes it back now doesn't it?).

The more I click through the more gold I find:
QuoteIf all of the safety procedures are followed in mounting a car tire on a cruiser, you can have a safe machine that is enjoyable to ride and get superior traction wet, dry, on the straights, and thru the twisties. If you don't know what you are doing, ask those that do, or stick to the MC tires. DS tires are not for everyone.

How would I not trust a man that signs his safety endorsement Big Foot?

The car tire on a sportbike seems to be a bit of a custom, show type of mod, but Killboy at Deal's Gap has posted a few crazy pictures of cruisers getting low(ish) while running car tires. I guess if you're really afraid of the lean angle, you could run a 240-300 rear tire.

Some pics.

IMO, it's a bit of a useless mod, especially for a monster. Most guys only have those massive rear tires on their custom builds.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

I've seen two people go down with car tires in a lean.....shitty idea IMO and even shittier what it did to my friends and their bikes.

Although bragging about a high post count does  seem parallel to bragging about how you never ride anything, mechanical or female. Thanks for the spirited thread I enjoyed it mucho

Really, who'd brag about not riding or getting laid?

Bikes need bike tires. Car tires don't belong on them.

Apparently the irony in my post you quoted flew over your head. As for the opinion you're offering on DST you're about 12 posts late, intelligent responses were already given and references were cited. But just so you don't misunderstand another one of my posts in a rush to get your total up to 9000 and become a full blown Ninja Member; If you don't know Harry Dick or Jack Balls about a topic please don't chime in. Thanks. :)

Since you don't want other members comments if they happen to be con...and a bit late to the party...

this thread is done.
