I have another phone interview at 9am...ill look for you all on the crest or at the shop
If you love your bike, set it free.
If it comes back to you, you've
probably high-sided.

It was great to see and ride with you folks again!
I hope the 999 rider is going to be ok, though they did say he couldn't feel anything.

Great rides everyone...to bad it had to end with one of the riders going down :'(
Hope he turns out alright.

The paramedics pulled me over to let his friends know that had gone ahead.
His name is Dave if anyone knows him.

If anyone knows him I'd appreciate if you could let me know how he is doing or which hospital he is staying at.
Going through a similar experience recently I have learned to appreciate my fellow riders support and concern and would like to extent the same to a fellow rider.

Well I'm so glad to be the bearer of good news:
It took us awhile to catch up with the person that went down on the crest today.
His name is Dave Turner and he will be released from the hospital today.
I talked to him and his wife at the hospital and other than some soft tissue shoulder injuries he will be ok ( does that sound familiar  :o). He hit the red gravel stuff which caused the loss of control.
I'm so happy to see this beautiful weekend ended ok after all.

[thumbsup] good news, never like reading that stuff.  :-\

I'm for sure glad he will be ok.
And I was feeling a little guilty for being the slow guy today.
The only twisties we have on this side of town are the politicians so I don't get to practice.
One good part about being the slow guy is I watch the lines you all take, and you're not all the same, an see quite clearly what I'm doing that slows me down in the corners and it's not my speed as much because I was kind of keeping up.
So I guess like Dave on the 999 today probably was more about cutting the right line for his speed or was it just going too fast?

Hey Doug
There is nothing wrong with sitting back and watching folks while learning from their mistakes versus making them yourself or learning from their skills  [thumbsup]
Enjoyed getting to know you and welcome back [thumbsup]

That kind of misery is tempting.

Glad to hear he is ok.  How bad is the shoulder?  How did you track him down?

I cant quite figure how he hit red gravel unless he was already on the very edge of the road.  The road seemed damn clear to me.  too fast maybe.

The ambulance service told us where they dropped him off.
He didn't give me any specifics about the extend of the shoulder injury but made it sound like it was
nothing serious.
Hitting the red stuff would mean that he got to close to the edge but he did mention he wasn't going fast at all.

I would really like to ride the Crest road again tonight but have a bike wire harness I had better get done.
