New rule- must win your conference to play in the national championship game.  SEC will have their champ. Let them play anybody else... Houston, Oregon, Wisconsin... But put champs against each other.  A boring rematch of an intraconference match up doesn't crown a champ.

I am with you Dalling...interconference matchup for the national title is sort of silly. But...those 2 really do seem to be the best 2 teams this year.
Even though Houston has gone undefeated, it is a very weak schedule when Tulsa is considered one of your toughest matchups.
Wisconsin/MSU would both be blowout opponents to LSU or Alabama. Not very much fun for the fans to watch.
Stanford...Oregon...They both have the high powered offenses it would take to hang but their defenses would both be crushed.
Ok St would be a decent all around opponent but not with the way LSU has been playing.

VA Tech...lol.

Just another season to show that a playoff system works well.
Automatic bids for 6 conferences with 2 at large bids. Like the NCAA BB tourney, highest seed vs lowest seed, second highest vs second to lowest, etc. 4 games played around Christmas, 2 games played around New Years, championship the following week.
Keep other profile bowls for consoloation prizes.

Anyway, the money mongers that run the show will never go for it and the BCS has way too much influence for things to change anytime soon. But it would be nice to see multiple conferences mixing it up multiple times.
Prove it on the field as they say...not by who got the most votes and has the toughest schedule according to a computer algorithm.

Yup...official announcement scheduled for 5:15pm est. Meyer, while not my favorite coach by a long shot will spark some pretty good recruiting for Ohio State even though they are facing the NCAA sanctions still.
I am just hoping for the back and forth to return in the rivalry. It was boring when Michigan went 10-2-1 from 88 thru 2000. It was boring the last 7 years. Having both teams ranked high and brawling it out every year with something on the line makes for the best games the series has seen.

Zook out at Illinois. Pretty impressive going 6-0 then 0-6 all in the same season.

I don't see Wisconsin beating Oregon in the Rose Bowl. Should be a decent game though. 

OSU put the country smackdown on Oklahoma...geez. Interesting stat summary during the game that seemed to suggest OSU deserves the NC game over Alabama (beat 5 top 20 BCS teams instead of 2 this season among other things). Another reason we need a playoff system, as I think they both deserve the shot to have a go at LSU (even though I think they'd both lose).
