Yes Ohio State did barely win that game but I seem to remember that same Toledo team rolling into the Big House and beating the Wolverines recently ;D

Look I was all doom and gloom after this game but the NCAA let 3 players practice all week and then Friday at 5:30 declared them ineligible again.  So tell me all you fans out there could your team win with their top 2 WRs, top 2 RBs, best Left Guard and o-lineman, best two DE's (one was out a quarter), and top corner all out against a team that is not afraid of the big boys?  That's not to mention not having our hall of fame coach and heisman canidate QB (which are non-points).

All in all I'm pretty happy with this win. That Toledo team was fired up, not scared and ready to win.  Our D stopped them when they had too and that's enough for me for now. Really I'd be more upset if I was a UM or ND fan.  I think both of those teams have really forgot how to play defense.  Hoke needs to start backing up his talk because that Toledo team would have beat either of those teams. Not only on D either, UM's offense is pretty easy to figure out. Run Denard or throw deep, if ND could play any kind of d in the secondary, even with those to's, they win that game easily.

The U is screwed anyway.

With the NCAA holding these guys out and saying "questions need answered" I starting to think that the hammer will actually be dropped on OSU too.  I thought we were going to get out of a bowl ban but I doubt it now.  Rumor has it that TP is the one who gave the 3 guys the $200. What a dick.

This game Saturday night could be really sloppy and i couldn't tell you who i think would is going to win.

+1
Thank goodness I follow several college teams, or this football season would be terrible.

Moving down south limits the exposure I have to football in general. They don't play any college football games down here.

Well finally some good news, we get three of our suspended players back. Hall and Howard give us much more speed which was obviously lacking last weekend.

That being said, I've heard there will be 40-45K Buckeye fans at that game (they've been waiting for a non-conference game in Florida) and I'm hoping the Buckeyes pull it out.  I think both offenses will have trouble in the 2nd and 3rd quarter.  Jake Stoneburner is a matchup nightmare for the U without Ray Ray and Braxton Miller will play way more than people think (we need his speed and ability to extend plays).  Harris will move the ball but of course will throw 2 or more picks.

I see the Buckeyes coming out of this 30-17.

What say you Canes fans?

I doubt Miami can score 17. 31-10

Does there really have to be a winner?

I'm calling this one at 20-17 in favor of Miami.

I absolutely hate going against a Big10 team even if it is Ohio State but Miami isn't Toledo...even with their losses it is still going to be a tough day for Ohio State with me agreeing with Rockaduc...20-17 Miami.

LSU had their hands full for 3 quarters last night. Mississippi st was impressive

I just don't think Miami is mentally prepared for a big game right now. Maybe later in the season they will show more heart.

This Toledo game was sort of a perfect storm and I think the Buckeyes weathered it just fine. Their coach was a coach at OSU less than 3 years ago so they knew what we liked to do, they were not afraid, and took a lot of chances. Also, we lost 2 big time starters (on an already hamstrung team) hours before the game. I like how the Buckeyes responded and stood firm when they had to.  Toledo also runs non-conventional offenses and defenses.  I say and most analysts would agree that Toledo is better than Maryland. Miami has pro style offense with an o-coordinator who coached at Minnesota 2 years ago. Go back and look at how well that offense looked against Ohio State.  Yes these teams both have new coaches but OSU has not changed anything in coordinators or game plans.  All new offense for Harris. I think Harris saw that Morris can play and will "push" trying to make big plays.  That's not good for Miami.

Even Golden acknowledged that Miami had to "show its hand" for MD while I don't think OSU has really shown anything or actually knows what they want to do.  I expect to see an all out attack on Harris by the d and a much more creative offense with Miller coming in for big minutes.

I could easily be totally off the mark but I agree with Carlos, I just don't see Miami having the heart or determination to grind one out.

Sadly, the game I am most looking forward to this weekend is tonight on ESPN2...
The Iowa State Cyclones travel to take on the UConn Huskies.

If UConn's O-line plays like they did vs Vandy, ISU is going to get to their QB fast and often.
Iowa State has shown that they have a potent young QB this year too.
A pretty balanced matchup in terms of talent on both teams so should be a fun game to watch.

Iowa State can help themselves out with a win.  I'm guessing the Big Ten will be looking for schools eventually.

Lots of good matchups this weekend.  Starts tonight with Boise at Toledo. I'm hoping the Rockets win but at least play as well as they did against OSU.

FSU and Okie should be good one but Okie may pull away.

Florida and Tenn is another good one.

Can't wait to see ND go to 0-3 against Sparty.
