Dr. just took Maro off the C~PAP so no more headgear. We can finally see his little face! He is breathing our oxygen with just a little help. A small O2 tube with 2 prongs running into his nostrils is all he requires at the moment. Let's see how that goes. *fingers crossed* Dr also increased his nutritional intake. Well, he actually nearly doubled it so this not is going to be growing fast. He should be up to 5~6lbs in a week or so. The truly amazing thing is that he already knows a few gestures and isn't afraid to speak his mind!

It must make a big difference to see his face!
And I'm sure he'll be growing like gangbusters with twice as much food!!!

wife's coworkers came in today and could immediately tell we looked like we had a huge weight lifted off our shoulders.  It definitely feels like it!

I know. Surprised they are turning out so well..even with this BB that needs to be replaced.

This place (the NICU) is rough. Not sure is I mentioned that Maro is next to a 2.6 lb girl. On the other side of her was..up until about 2 hours ago..was a 1 pounder. He passed today. I can't even think about that family cuz I have to give Maro all the positive energy that I can but this is not a place ever want to be in again.

Yea its rough.. never want to have to go thrugh losing a baby.. I had 3 sisters that never made it.. set of twins and a loner..  kicker is, I would have never been born if they were.. I don't thank them enough for my life..
