Other than Spies and Edwards isn't this kind of deja vu all over again? Too bad Pedrobot will miss his home turf race. Wait... did I actually say something nice and sympathetic about the 'bot? I must be sick! laughingdp

Well, yes it's 'normal service resumed'.

FP2 - http://www.motomatters.com/results/2011/06/03/2011_catalunya_motogp_fp2_result_stoner_.html

Honda steamroller continues.

Yamahas seem as bit better, Lorenzo 4th within shouting distance, Spies 5th....but at almost 2 sec back.  Tongue

Edwards contracts Pedrosa's Disease.  :'(

Wow. 2 seconds off the front and 1 second off the nearest front runner are huge gaps. Let's hope for some action up front and for the Ben not to fade.  Roll Eyes
This might turn out to be another yawn fest but you never know.......

Too bad for Edwards.

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

That time Ben put up was the only lap of the session at that pace.  I don't see him challenging.  The rest of his lap times were junk.

That won't be a popular pole position in that part of the world! bang head Probably made sure he got the pole just to piss off all the local Pedrobot lovers. laughingdp If I were him I would have a food tester around before I ate any meals to check for poison and I'd want extra security. waytogo

The Ben certainly picked up the pace. He damn near booted Jorge off the front row. Missed it by this much!!! waytogo chug applause

Sad for Edwards. He has never missed a GP start going all the way back to 2003. 141 starts in a row.

I kind of hope Super Sic shows Stoner a good race. I'm guessing he'll end up third or so. Now time to go to bed so I can catch Moto 2 bright and early.

Hopefully Sic can keep the bike upright, but I think Stoner still has this race in the bag with Lorenzo/Sic filling out the podium.  The devil in me says that Marco takes out Jorge and we have another Stoner/Dovi/Rossi podium with the Spanish crowd storming the track and trampling Simoncelli to death.   Grin

They'll have to get out there and push him.
