Picked up my M659 yesterday. All I can say is......what an amazing bike.  Grin

I was lucky that they had a short tail kit in stock so I had this fitted. Pics to follow!

Hey Ducm3, congrats on the purchase! Post some pics when you can. It'd be great to see it in black!

Cheers

Cheers for the comments guys, I love it  waytogo

The only thing missing is the rear seat cowl - apparently Ducati Australia forgot to import them! It's on the way though.

Surely the cowl from any other new gen monster would fit though, yeah!?

Yes - but they have "Monster 696" printed on them. Ducati Aust forgot to order cowls with "Monster 659" printed.

Performance enhancing then? An extra 37cc!

... BTW, as a black on black 620 owner, nice work on the scheme..
Darken up those foot rest arms, replace those wing they call mirrors add a set of CF termis and you'll be laughing.

Yeah congratulations guys.

I have seen quite a few of the new-style Monsters out on the road ... probably to the point now that I am seeing more of the new-style than the old.

But ... I can only recall one ever being on a Sydney Ozmo ride. Are 'new-style' owners less sociable? Intimidated? Inferiority complex? Superiority complex?

Apologies for the threadjack ... just seemed the appropriate place to vent.

Hey Ducm3,

Are you saying the dealer is ordering the cowl for nothing? My dealer hasn't mentioned anything about this.

Hi Dino659,

There was no mention made about cost - the dealer just told me that the cowl had been ordered and would let me know when it arrives. He said it was a mistake by Duc Australia, so I assume it's supposed to be on the bike.

On another note - you should definitely order the short tail kit - makes a massive difference to how the bike looks!
