midpipe question.

Gents,
im sure this topic has been touched several times, but i have been out of the country for two months and now im on the train home to boston. obviously the first thing i need to take care of is buying more bike goodies, the mortgage can wait!
i have an 06 s2r800 with arrow mufflers.
im in the market for a mid-pipe, i have sent out a few emails to ca-cycleworks and others. i see the DP midpipe,http://www.ducatiperformance.com/ducati-monster-s2r800s2r1000s4r-high-efficiency-collectors-p-242.html?cPath=22_29_153
but it says its "steel". does anyone have experience with this item? is it actually a ferrous steel or is it stainless?
i have Arrow cans on the bike now, but i desperately need to get rid of the "udder" im hoping one of you guys can give me some suggestions, or tell me what route you have taken to this modification. i would like to have everything shiny brandy new including the headers if possible, without breaking the bank.
thanks in advance for the help guys!
Matt

Why not the Marving Cat Eliminator? That's what I'm looking at... Monsterparts carries them so delivery will be quick. I've read how the DP midpipe needs to be removed with each oil change, although I heard Ducati also released "version 2" that addresses this.

The Quat-D midpipe looks a little better to me than the Marving, just the way the pipes are routed. Quat-Ds for s2r800/s4r are available from Motowheels.
All exhausts are made from stainless.
WIth that said the
full
Arrow system would be what I would go for. You can always sell your current slipons to offset the cost, now or later.

I recieved mine about 2 weeks ago, and I could not be happier. The fit is excellent and shipping was quick.

+1, Arrow's quality is awesome! If this is a possibility, definitely do this.

Not necessarily for the quality, which is awesome, but for the sound. Nothing sounds like an S2R with a full Arrow exhaust. Just badass.

hey guys, just wanted to let you know i went with the arrow midpipe, or "header" as they refer to it as. I am extremely happy with the decision and the bike sounds much much better, not sure my neighbors will agree with me on that one, but its my bike not theirs.
Thanks for the suggestions guys.
