Then make the trip to Angeles Crest Hwy (my backyard) - you can do a 120 mile loop from La Canada Flintridge to Wrightwood and back in one morning.

I'll be going up this Sunday morning.

lawbreaker

I ride with SEVERAL peeps from the SoCalDMC... from GMR to Ortega hwy, ACH, Boquet Cyn, 23/150/33 and all over Malibu...

I would have to say that it's more like a bunch of friends, not a "club" per se. No dues, mandatory meetings and that other nonsense. Organized large group rides are sparse (Turkeyday ride for example), but things like organized MotoGP viewing parties at RedBull or BBQ party at someones pad are nice.

Yes, many friends get together and ride.... often.

Anyway you slice it MID, you are in moto heaven!  Like lawbreaker noted, there are so many outstanding roads with a short riding distance of you, that you could ride every weekend for a year and never be bored.  And we can ride year round!

Bacon Junkie and I were talking about doing a 5-counties loop (about 300 miles) sometime soon, so keep an eye out for a posting on the SOCAL forum.

MonsterInDark,  Tuna Canyon is a great road, BUT, it's one-way from the top down.

Try going up las Flores, right on Piuma, right on Scheuren, past Stunt, continue on Saddle Peak Rd.  When you get to the stop sign, turn right onto Tuna.  After about a mile or so, it turns into a one way.  We sometimes do "coaster" races there...  :o [evil]

;D

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

YEs new to ducati's as well....always been in love with them...but first time and now will be a life long lover of these bikes....did the ride on sunday with a buddy on a harley....even with my girl riding 2up with me he couldnt keep up with me through decker and latigo canyon.....and I LOVED LATIGO!!! such a great road...accept it gets a little rough towards the bottem...cant wait to kick the little lady off and have a go at it without worrying about her on the back...but i wish i would have read the post about tuna canyon before i went lol....i realized it was a one way when i turned up the road and saw all the dirt and rocks on the right side of the road....not the mention the HUGE WRONG WAY SIGN  [bang] lol....but we went up old topanga canyon which i had never rode before and it was nice! then i got caught behind a slow A$$ BMW on the snake...utterly ruining my arguably favorite part of the ride  :'( but all in all it was a fun run....would definately do it again...even though the ride actually came out to being 110 miles... [Dolph]

So ALL of you that want to ride! Lets go! and that roller coaster races....let me know about that!! i wana go!  [bow_down]
