Did I ever mention that I have a weird attraction to this thread? Does that mean I need counseling? laughingdp laughingdp

That's not the reason you need counseling

Still not the ugliest thing I've ever seen, but this thing truly is hateful.

What did that start life as? A Goldwing?

If so, then I say they did it a favor.

Agreed  Cool
OK, maybe the gatlings are a bit over the top, otherwise I think it is pretty cool, in a Mad Max way.

Different strokes, I guess. I find it re-goddamn-diculous.

Maybe without the guns, and the hot-rod pipes, and the rivets...

That's Norm Brown's old bike isn't it?  I thought it won some awards in real shows and got lots of love at the time in the old board?

As I recall, there was some love, them some queries, then some uncertainty and trepidation, then some indignation and outrage.

I didn't participate in much of any of it, but I remember it happening.

Something about it handling poorly, and/or being a death-trap.

Yes, Norm built the bike for himself, the sold it due to health reasons.  The bike was well received until it was sold. The person who bought the bike, well, let's just say he was not a happy camper and badmouthed Norm all over the internet and refused all offers by Norm to make things right including new triples to alter geometry back to more conventional numbers.  If you are curious there may be more info on the old board.  Actually, if you google Phil Barone Ducati you will come up with some history.
