Mobil 1 Racing 10-40

+1

Manual says to use 10w40 for all-temp riding.
15w40 or 15w50 for temps down to -8 deg C
20w40 or 20w50 for temps down to 0 deg C.

I've mainly been using Shell Rotella 5W-40 for a long time although I occasionally use Mobil 4T 10W-40.   I think (think is defined in my case as no basis in actual documented fact) that the Mobil may be better oil but not enough to make an appreciable difference or for the motor to know the difference.

Rotella T6 is JASO-MA2, but I would not want to use a 5w in a Ducati.  I've tried it in my older SS but it shifted hard.
