Can I just change the oil in my showa forks(1994 900 Monster) without taking them apart? Do I have to remove the spring and damper stuff or can I just unscrew the fork cap and turn them upside down and pump them out?  Thanks

No, yes, and no.

You need to take the caps off, remove the cap, remove the springs, pump out the oil, fill the fork leg completely, bleed cartridge, set oil level, re-install spring, secure cap to damper rod, secure cap to fork leg, done.

you can do what u said u want to do, but you wouldnt be doing it right. there is oil in the rod and it needs to be pumped to be removed, which can be only be done with the spring out.

not that hard.
