What to do with leaning kick stand

Have not moved on to this fix yet but my 2001 750 SS  leans way to far over and im sure the last owner had it fall a few times . I can carry a small block but really ?   Or weld a pc. under the skid plate to help the lean but when in it up its close to the shifter ... any one got a great idea for this fix ?

First I would make sure the sidestand is on tight.

Then post a picture of your sidestand, most of us here are Monster folks and may not be familiar with what sidestand came on a 2001 750SS.

And... the bike is 10 years old, it could have any one of at least 3 different sidestands on it.
