i have 2001 750 monster, and would like to have a more of a cafe racer riding position, what is the best route to get that. Meaning where can i get the handle bars??

What he said.

Stylistically you should be looking at clip-ons. But do what you want, there's plenty of options for bars taht give a more 'racey' position.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

yeah clip-ons will give you the look you are after.  do a search - TONS of threads about clip-ons.  look for Stopintime's posts on the subject ... they are extensive and informative.

there are other options that fall in the middle of the range between stock bars and clip-ons, like suburban machinery bars.  i just bought a pair; haven't had a chance to put them on yet.

what will be my cheapest option, I also heard that you can flip the factory handle bar, but wouldn't that hit my gas tank on a turn???

YellowDuck

I had clip-ons, not very comfortable. Didn't like how high the factory bars were.

I added a spacer under the bar clamp and put on straight bars which have been a good comprimise for me.
