Anyone ever experience this?

I'm getting a deeper wear pattern at the seams.

One trackday.  28 psi.  80 degree day

Michelin 2ct Power pure.  On my 748.

No.  Just don't want to have to buy another tire this season.   [bang]

Wes is running 25psi on his 2 ct...not sure if it's a power or a pure.

Bruce told him to run 22 but he's scared to.

Maybe too much pressure?.

It sort of looks like the wear pattern on a power near the more transverse tread sipes.

You can always try asking Dave Moss; he's accepting questions via Facebook, Twitter etc.

I was 'encouraged' by a really fast guy at Loudon to be more concerned with hot pressures instead of cold, which does make sense as that's ultimately the pressure you are working with.  His Michelin guy said I should be looking for 33-34 hot on Pilot Powers.  The web is all over the map for pressures on your tires, from 23-30 cold to 34-36 cold, up to over 40 hot.
2000 Monster 900Sie, a few changes
1992 900 SS, currently a pile of parts.  Now running
flogged successfully  NHMS  12 customized.  Twice.   T3 too.   Now retired.

So...

what pressure should I be looking for on a Power Race 'C' rear and a 'V' front?

hmmmm?

Too much pressure would get me a cold tear.  Not enough would get me rubber flying, balling and a hot tear.  This is neither.  The tire is wearing excessively at the manufacturing seams.  It could also be a cold tear at the seam?

I will drop a pound or two the next trackday and see how it performs.  Also keep track of the hot temp.

Ducvet is going to ask Michelin if this is normal.

I do like the tire.  And would buy it again, so far.  Just have to be VERY, VERY, VERY gentle the first time out they are wiggly!  But quickly change to sticky.

Is it a Pure or a Power?

Power Pure 2ct
You mean the tire I mistakenly gave you instead of the Power 2ct?  [bang] [laugh]

It's all coming back to me now.

Yes.  It was a good mistake.  It's a good tire, I just don't want it to come apart on me.

Did you store it in a barrel of acetone or something like that?   ;D

That should make it pretty sticky, with minimal warm-up needed   [thumbsup]
