Just ordered two sets of Danmoto carbon cans - one for my 696, and one for my wife's. Also nabbed a Termignoni ECU from eBay (that one's for my bike). Any thoughts on whether or not I'll need to do anything to the intake / filter to make my bike run properly with the Termi ECU and random Chinese pipes?

One way or the other I'm stoked to uncork the 696. It really wants to sound meaner than the stockers allow.

I have the Termi CF exhaust with the Racing ECU and Air Filter. The filter allows improved air flow that the Racing ECU demands. Search online, I think you will find that the K&N replacement filter is essentially the same as the one that comes with the Termi Kit.

the air filter cover has to be opened up too in order to let more air into the new filter.  you can cut some holes into the ones you have currently.

I think you would have absolutely no problems using the do ecu and another type of exhaust/intake. The differences between slip on exhaust systems are probably so small that there will be no issues.

The do ecu just corrects the bike in open loop from being so lean. I would be really easy to modify the airbox yourself to open it up similar to the term setup... Secondly
If you want a k&n I have one for sale that I had on my bike prior to going to pod filters.

But to answer the question, I wouldn't worry about any issues.
