Never got a call back and they cancelled my pending order via the website, so /shrug probably a screw up on their side. I might call back again to get clarification in a bit.

Ok, they are updating their site and had the price issue due to this.
The correct "retail" is 1000, and their sale price should be 777 with free shipping.
At least he sent me an email about the snafu. Its too bad, because I ordered 5 sets!

I don't suppose any other Brembo dealers would be willing to offer price-matching on this?
