What a way to finish a series. Most series endings kinda suck (soprano's, the shield, Seinfield) but this was one of the best ever. Awesome.

Now back to Homeland.

I'm so happy Lydia died.  I don't know if this makes me a bad person, but going into the final episode I cared more that someone got her than the Nazis.  She never really did anything wrong, either.  But still.  Her attitude...

Even the title of the last episode was intricate and thoughtful:

"Felina"

1) = Fe (iron) + Li (lithium) + Na (sodium) --> Blood, Meth, & Tears (iron is major component in blood, lithium is major component in meth, sodium is major component of tears)

2) = anagram of "Finale"

well, she did hire a hit man to kill mike and his "people," and she also setup declan and his gang to be killed by todd and uncle jack's crew.

I wish...

Jesse and Walt had tearfully apologized to each other...hugged...then found the 80 mil and left in the nick of time.

Then right before the credits roll we see Walt on a beach recovering from his wounds and both of them chillin with 2 Latino hotties. That would have been the best ending ever.

I just finished watching all 5 seasons for the first time over the course of the last 3 weeks.

Amazing show.

And I enjoyed reading along through this thread as I watched the series.



Now we just have to wait a while for Better Call Saul to hit the air.
