Here's the gig: Roger Lyle Motorcycle Excitement, September 5, 2011 (Labor Day) on the Shenandoah track.

http://www.motorcyclexcitement.com

The cost is $200 up until August 25th and $225 after. I'm renting a trailer with room for 3-4 bikes, and have room in the Jeep for 3-4 pilots and gear. I'm heading up Sunday and camping overnight.

If you want in, I'll come pick you and your bike up on Sunday afternoon and bring you back Monday night.

Interested, haven't done a trackday this year yet. >:(

Need to see how things evolve with the 'Speciale' first tho. :-\
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

I've got a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a class 3 hitch; I'll rent a trailer to accommodate 2-3 bikes depending on how this shakes out. Should be enough room for 3 plus gear. Planning to head out there Sunday evening and camp. Coming back Monday evening.

I think another friend is joining us and may have room to haul 1 other bike... but plans are very formative still.

heading out the night before with a trailer is the best way to go  8)

I used to ride the 748 up there in the early morning and pray nothing broke! [laugh] But Roger always reassured me that if something happed he would help (or find someone who could). [thumbsup]

Personally I would save your money and go to the 2 day MAD event at VIR with Cornerspeed, might be a few old slow guys there for you to pick on too. ;D - Gene

Looks like someone just threw the glove down.   ;D
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Bad timing for me...weekdays during the semester are rough.

I'll get out to VIR someday and follow you through the Oak Tree. Roger Lyle Group B is more my speed for the near future.

GENERALLY, when MAD does VIR, they just do the North Course only, and they do have a "group B" also because the event is hosted by Cornerspeed.

I just went out to Shenandoah Circuit with my cage, and met some old Cammers. We talked about how difficult the track would be for motorcycles because it's pretty technical and busy. It would also be fun, I imagine, just something else to think about, although you've probably already registered, huh?

Been going there for years now and I think it's a great track for a (relatively) low power bike where you can really work on your cornering technique. [thumbsup]

they do not use the carousel turn for bikes, though, a few years back, when they had completed 75% track and were working on the other end, I had a few rounds through that turn in 2nd gear and it made me think of what it is like for guys on the banking in Daytona....

I'll have to disagree with that: the carousel has been open everytime I've gone there with Roger Lyle...

INTERESTING....now, I've only seen TPM on Shenendoah, bu I was told it was track policy to not let bikes run that turn due to how the run off is and the angle of the camber of the concrete in that turn
