Speedy moto top triple with Apex Adjustable Riser Clip ons

So some chick reversed into my bike in my parking garage and it tipped over.  Good thing for frame sliders, but now I've got slightly bent handlebars.  Good excuse for a mod.

Anybody have the speedymoto/apex combo on their '07 s2r800?

Any reviews/advice?  I do 40% commuting 40% tour and twisty and 20% track.  I'm also 5'9" 190 lbs. and have swapped my forks for s2r1000 if that makes any difference.

It's not required to have a new triple if you want clip ons, but if you need a reason.......

You may/may not need the spacers for the master cylinders - to avoid clearance issues between coffin reservoirs and clip ons.
Jeff at MonsterParts will probably know.

My 3" riser clip ons position the bar grip base about two inches lower than stock bars.
Also a small inch closer.
The feeling of a longer reach comes from the lowering.

Monsters without rearsets position the lower body somewhere close to an upright position.
Clip ons position the upper body in a forward leaning 'race' position.
I'm not convinced about the functionality of such an ergonomic combination.

If you get clip ons, you will have a very different bike.
No rise clip ons - dramatically so.

If you're ready for that - go ahead, but I'd at least think about the Apex adjustable riser clip ons.
The Suburban Machinery bars is a nice middle ground and still provide a nice further sweep back angle.

I have the Speedymoto triple clamp on my 07 S2r100 with Motowheels clip-ons....Its strangely comfortable...but VERY different!

so i don't necessarily need a new triple with the clipons.  but the speedymoto looks pretty sweet.

Do you have rearsets too?  if not, do you feel like your legs are positioned too far underneath you instead of behind you like stopintimes sayin?

At the moment, I have the stock foot controls. I'm a whopping 5'6" though...that certainly makes a difference.

Do you "NEED" the Speedymoto triple? No...the stock triple looks sorta crappy without the risers in place and the Speedymoto has a more shallow mount, so when you mount the clip ons under the triple they are a bit higher then they would be with the stock triple if that makes sense.

ya, the triple is necessary  .  clip ons with a stock triple is kinda like puttin an expensive dress on a fat chick.  i mean, the dress is nice still . . . but . . . you know... also, cycle cat is back in the game.  that's where half of my next 20 paychecks are goin

also, i had the fully adjustable apex clip ons and found them very comfortable and very well made.  i would definitely buy them again.

If you get clip ons and find out that you need rearsets - you can get them later.
You wouldn't be the first to experience that one mod leads to another

Keeping with the trend...I LOVE my Speedymoto stuff...I went to them when the market on Cycle Cat dried up...that being said, Cycle cats triple is  (or the original one) was made to allow the mounting of the clip ons on TOP of the triple...Making a much more comfortable riding position...

just pointing that out...I don't know what your time frame is and I don't know what Chris from Cycle cat has available. He stopped by a few weeks back and sorta made it sound like there wasn't really anything ready to go yet...like he had 90% of everything that they did have but all needed one or two little parts.

Risers will/can change the ergonomics a lot.
The very nice thing about the adjustable ones is that you can play with them until you find your sweet spot.
