Removed vacuum petCock have a quick question about vacuum.

Hey all,

Like the subject line says...But now I have a question....I capped off both manifold inlets with a 6m bolt and used some blue thread lock.  Should I have just left the vacuum hose from the fuel pump to the manifold?

Uhh...on my 2000 M750 - there is only one vac line to the petcock.  The other vac line to the fuel pump should be left connected, it's what makes the fuel pump work.  [thumbsup]

i may be wrong but i believe you do need those lines

Thanks guys, attached vacuum line from pump to the manifold...

Tank directly to pump, pump to carb, pump to manifold.  I just need to remember to turn the manual petcock on and off.  Already forgot while starting it up this morning and I was like WTF is going on  :)

Well you didn't mention the manual petcock in the earlier post ;)

Care to show pics of your install?

I did this myself years ago. First time the vacuum petcock went out I figured "why not just fix this once and for all?"
I still have to rebuild the feul pump now and again but it's not a big deal.

I'm kind of late with the response, but here it is anyway:

The 002-226 rebuild kit is the one. It shows it as being for the DF-62 pump which is a dual outlet pump, but you can use it for the single outlet pump on Monsters. In fact, you can get two rebuilds out of a single kit  [thumbsup]
