Traveled up the coast of Vietnam on the trains. The tickets are all inclusive - you get free food! I lived on rice and watery soup (but only if the soup was green). And every hour or so, the balut cart would trundle up the carriage - all the balut you can eat for a dollar!

Philipinos eat balut. Being in the Navy, I am around a lot of Philipinos and they swear it's some kind of aphrodesiac...

i totally buy that... it's amazing how many things i ate a s a kid... before i knew what they were. it's taken years and years to get past some of the 'knowing' and back to the 'eating'
