It may be soon to ask because I am not sure if anyone has them yet......but does the Termis upgrade for the 1100 raise the red line like it did for my 696?  I have a EVO that will be here any day now and although I am going to wait a little while for new pipes I was wondering about the redline (or I guess where the rev limiter hits).  I think the ECU and pipes were a big improvement on my 696 as far as how the power was delivered I am not sure if it will be similar for the 1100.

Thanks,

Jim

Often wrong. Never in doubt.

Jim,

I have M1100s and unlike on M696 the DP ECU supplied with the M1100 Termi kits does not raise the 8,250rpm rev limit.

Be interesting to hear if EVO turns out different to that.

Is there any confirmation as to by how much the DP ECU raises the rev limit on the 696?

How can I rise the rpm limit if I install the Termi kit for my M1100s?

get a Rexxer flash of your ECU and have the limit raised.

I thought it did.  I know I can get pretty much 10k out of my bike in 1st and 2nd but the limiter seems to slam down on my early in 3rd gear say 8,750 or something.  I've hit the rev limiter pretty hard in 3rd several times after shifting out of 2nd at high rpm.

It's hard to test, looking down at the tach isn't the smartest idea when revving the balls off the bike.
