KTLA news made it seem as if motorcyclist like crossing the double yellow for the thrill of it.

I live a few miles from ACH and I've gone up mid-week : the last time I saw 3 CHP just on the bottom side, this was on a Thursday around lunch time.   So I wouldn't expect that weekday jaunts will be free and clear.

I usually go up every Wednesday and I've seen a cop or two as well. They are usually hanging out in the turnoffs under the trees in the 45mph area, once the speed limit jumps to 55 and after the stop light there aren't really any.
